Snapshot Mode

Snap Shot Mode Operation:

PCM/ECM CODE SNAPSHOT

The PCM/ECM snapshot mode gives the ability to view the PCM/ECM parameter values either when a code set or at a particular instant of time as chosen by the technician. Snapshot captures all parameter values that were stored in the keep alive memory when a code was set. If more than one code sets, the values associated with the last code will be stored with an "L" prefix (i.e. L.0.1 or L.0.2 etc.).

PCM/ECM SNAPSHOT

Used to diagnose intermittent conditions, the snapshot selection will store one set of all the PCM/ECM data parameter values and output status indications at the time that the snapshot is requested. To enter snap-shot mode, enter diagnostic mode, then push "LO" until "ECM SNAP-SHOT?" is displayed and then push "HI", "EXXX SNAPSHOT?" will then be displayed. The "XXX" is the 3 digit diagnostic code that recorded the snapshot. Push "LO" again, and "TAKE ECM SNAPSHOT?" will be displayed. When the intermittent condition occurs, or when the parameters are to be recorded, press "HI" and hold until the message "Snap-shot Taken" appears. The "Snapshot Taken" message indicates that the data is now stored for review.
