PCM INPUTS THAT AFFECT SHIFT POINTS
The THM F7 transmission is electronically controlled by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Inputs to the PCM determine the shift pattern for third and fourth gears and Viscous Converter Clutch (VCC) operation.
Inputs include:
- Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS)
- Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)
- Coolant Temperature (CTS)
- Neutral Start (PRNDL) Switch
- Cruise Control Switch
- Manifold Pressure Sensor (MAP)
- Electronic Spark Timing (EST)
