Heated Windshield Circuit:

DESCRIPTION:

The purpose of this diagnostic test is to detect a problem with the heated windshield circuit to the PCM. When the circuit is grounded by the heated windshield module the PCM will increase idle speed to compensate for the electrical load placed on the generator.

TEST CONDITIONS:

Engine running.

FAILURE CONDITIONS:

Heated windshield request present at the PCM for more than 10 minutes.

ACTION TAKEN:

1. Code is set.
2. BCM turns on SERVICE VEHICLE SOON lamp.
