SUBJECT: LITTER CONTAINER WILL NOT SLIDE ONTO BRACKET


MODELS AFFECTED: 1991 DE VILLES AND FLEETWOODS


Some 1991 DeVilles and Fleetwoods may experience a condition where the litter container will not slide easily onto its bracket. This condition is caused by an interference between the A/C programmer and the hush panel. To repair this condition, use the following procedure:

1. Remove hush panel screws.


2. Remove glove box module and set aside.


3. Disconnect air mix valve link rod from programmer.


4. Remove vacuum and electrical connectors.

5. Remove programmer screws.


6. Remove programmer through glove box opening.

7. Place programmer on a table and remove 20 mm (3/4") from the front tab. Refer to Figure 1.


8. Reassemble programmer and hush panel.
