Air Duct: Service and Repair
AIR DISTRIBUTOR ASSEMBLYAir Distributor Assembly:
Side Window Defogger Ducts:
CAUTION: The following procedures must be followed in the order listed to temporarily disable the Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system and prevent false diagnostic trouble codes from setting. Failure to follow this procedure could result in possible air bag deployment, personal injury, or unneeded SIR system repairs.
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
^ Disable the Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system. Service and Repair
1. Instrument Panel (IP) assembly. Service and Repair
2. Vacuum hoses from vacuum actuators.
3. Vacuum harness retainers from air distributor assembly and position vacuum vacuum harness aside.
4. Side window defogger hoses/outlet from air distributor assembly.
5. Screws retaining dash harness to air distributor assembly.
6. Screws from floor air outlet.
7. Screws and nut attaching air distributor assembly from vehicle.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Screws and nut attaching air distributor assembly to front of dash, after positioning air distributor assembly into vehicle.
TIGHTEN
^ Nut to 1.5 Nm (13 lb. in.).
^ Screws to 1.5 Nm (13 lb. in.).
2. Floor air outlet and attaching screws.
TIGHTEN
^ Screws to 1.5 Nm (13 lb. in.).
3. Side window defogger hoses/outlet to air distributor assembly.
4. Vacuum hoses to vacuum actuators.
5. Vacuum harness retainers to air distributor assembly.
6. Dash harness to air distributor assembly and attaching screw.
TIGHTEN
^ Screw to 2.8 Nm (25 lb. in.).
7. IP assembly. Service and Repair
^ Enable the SIR system. Service and Repair
