Brake Light Switch: Adjustments

Installing Stoplight Switch:

1. Remove I/P sound insulators, as needed for repairs.
2. Disconnect electrical connectors and vacuum hose from stoplight switch, then remove stoplight switch.
3. Fully depress brake pedal, and hold.
4. Connect switch and install as shown in figure. Make all connections before installing. Press switch in until no more audible clicks are heard, and all retaining tabs are seated in mounting bracket. When pressing switch onto mounting bracket, do not apply over 111 N (25 lb.) of side load pressure to the two terminal housing connectors.
