Output Cycling

After .7.0 is displayed on the FDC, the PCM Output cycling test can be initiated by depressing the HI button on the ECC with the engine OFF. When the HI button has been depressed, the FDC will display E.9.5. At this time the HI and LO buttons can be used to select a specific output test. Once the test is selected, the FDC will alternately display E.9.6 and the code for that test. The E.9.6 indicates that the solenoid is de-energized and the test code indicates that the solenoid is energized.
