Fuel Lines - Sagging Below Vehicle

Bulletin No: T-93-3A
File in Group: 6
Number: 28
Corp.Ref.No.: 206301R
Date: Feb. 1993

SUBJECT:
FUEL LINES VISIBLE BELOW VEHICLE

MODELS AFFECTED:
1991 DE VILLES AND FLEETWOODS

This bulletin supersedes Service bulletin T-93-3 which should be discarded. This bulletin is being revised to remove the 1992 model year and correct the VIN'S.

Some owners of 1991 DeVilles and Fleetwoods may notice the fuel lines sagging below the underbody floor pan creating an unsightly condition.

Under certain conditions the forces of snow and water splash exerted on the lines may cause them to sag.

Two vehicle populations exist. The service procedure for each is listed below:

Population 1:
1991 Cadillac - M4200023 through M4286086

A cover/retainer may be added by ordering cover/retainer, P/N 25559590, and rivet, P/N 9437938, which can be attached to present studs at positions B and C as shown in Figure 2.

Service Procedure:

1. Remove the retainer clips as currently installed. Refer to Figure 2.

2. Snap the cover/retainer over the studs at positions B and C.

3. Install the cover/retainer as shown in Figure 1. Install rivet, P/N 9437938, at Position A as shown in the illustration.

Population 2:
1991 Cadillac - M4286087 through M4342355

These vehicles were built with a cover/retainer and a plastic push pin at position A.

Service Procedure:

1. Remove the plastic push pin at position A. Refer to Figure 2.

2. Install rivet, P/N 9437938, as shown.
