CONDITION:
Some owners may comment on a squawk noise coming from the front suspension during large suspension travel (i.e., going through a dip). This condition is most noticeable in cold temperatures and may occur on only the first few jounces after a cold soak.

CAUSE:
This condition is caused by the stabilizer shaft rotating within the stabilizer shaft insulator.

CORRECTION:
Replace the stabilizer shaft insulator with the new service part that is made from a different rubber compound. Refer to the Service Parts Identification Label for suspension option code (FE1, FE2, or FE3). The insulators should be installed per Service Information Manual procedures with the slit toward the rear of the car.

If the Service Parts Identification Label is not available, the correct insulator part number can be determined by measuring the stabilizer shaft diameter on insulator surface or on a clean area of the shaft.

If new bushing does not stay seated properly or works out of the existing bracket, install new brackets, P/N 3547358 on the left side, and P/N 3547359 on the right side.

Parts are currently available from GMSPO.
