INFORMATION ON NEW FUEL DOOR RELEASE SOLENOID


MODELS AFFECTED:
1993 ALLANTES


The 1993 Allante fuel door release solenoid has a longer initial setting than 1987-1992 models. The dimension from the ball portion of the actuator cable to the cable housing was increased 2 mm (.079 in.). Therefore, visually the parts appear identical other than the part number. To order a fuel door release solenoid refer to the following listing:

NOTE:
If solenoid assembly (P/N 20697330) is installed on a 1993 Allante, the fuel door may not latch closed.

If solenoid assembly (P/N 3536191) is installed on a 1987-1992 Allante, the fuel door may not open.
