INSTRUMENT PANEL






Remove or Disconnect

- Disable SIR system. Refer to "Disabling the SIR System".

1. Battery negative (-) cable.
2. Three screws and center sound insulator.
3. Three screws and two nuts retaining right-side sound insulator.
4. Courtesy lamp from sound insulator and right-side sound insulator from vehicle.
5. Two screws and center trim plate.
6. Five screws and knee bolster.
7. Four screws and I/P steering column reinforcement plate.
8. Steering column. Refer to SUPPLEMENTAL INFLATABLE RESTRAINT STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN.
9. Three screws and Climate Control/Driver Information Center (CCDIC).
10. I/P cluster. Refer to "Instrument Panel Cluster".
11. Front console assembly. Refer to "Front Console Assembly".
12. Dash-to-instrument panel interconnect.
13. Four screws and glove box unit.
- Pull fuse panel up from dash panel.
14. Instrument panel compartment electrical connectors.
15. Instrument panel reinforcement brace.
16. Six screws retaining instrument panel.

- With the help of another technician, remove instrument panel assembly.






Install or Connect

- With the help of another technician, install instrument panel assembly.

1. Six screws securing instrument panel.
2. Instrument panel reinforcement brace.
3. Instrument panel compartment electrical connectors.
- Push glove box fuse panel into place in dash panel.
4. Glove box unit and secure with four screws.
5. Dash-to-instrument panel interconnect.
6. Front console assembly. Refer to "Front Console Assembly".
7. I/P cluster. Refer to "Instrument Panel Cluster".
8. CCDIC and secure with three screws.
9. Steering column. Refer to SUPPLEMENTAL INFLATABLE RESTRAINT STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN.
10. I/P steering column reinforcement plate and secure with four screws.
11. Knee bolster and secure with five screws.
12. Center trim plate and secure with two screws.
13. Right-side sound insulator and secure with two nuts.
14. Courtesy lamp to sound insulator and three screws securing right-side sound insulator.
15. Center sound insulator and secure with three screws.
16. Battery negative (-) cable.

- Enable the SIR system. Refer to 'Enabling the SIR System".
