CCDIC Problem (Chart C-1)
Chart C-1:
Wake-Up Wiring Diagram:
DESCRIPTION:
This chart should be used to identify the symptoms relating to the CCDIC problem. There are two major observations that must be made: visual check of the display and a keyboard functional check.
NOTES ON FAULT TREE:
1. If the CCDIC display is totally blank, refer to CHART C-2. If the CCP is blank, but the DIC reads "SYSTEM PROBLEM", then see CHART C-3. Any other display problems are due to the CCDIC and the component should be replaced.
2. If the "TEMP/TIME" button is the only inoperative button, see CHART C-4. The cause could be an open CKT 1018. If none of the buttons on the engine panel respond, the CCDIC or the BCM should be replaced.
3. If the DIC buttons do not respond, check the BCM input BI30. This checks to see if the BCM and related wiring are at fault or the CCDIC.
4. This step checks to see if there is a short to ground in CKT 1018, a faulty BCM, or a faulty CCDIC.
