1. Disable airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING.
2. Disconnect battery ground cable.
3. Remove lower instrument panel sound insulators, Fig. 108.
4. Remove instrument panel steering column cover, Fig. 109.
5. Remove four bolts attaching steering column to support bracket.
6. Remove climate control driver information center, Fig. 110.
7. Remove dash to instrument panel interconnect.
8. Remove glove box box module, Fig. 111.
9. Remove fuse panel from glove box, Fig. 112.
10. Disconnect instrument panel compartment electrical connector.
11. Remove instrument panel reinforcement brace, Fig. 113.
12. Remove six instrument panel attaching screws, then remove instrument panel, Fig. 113.
13. Reverse procedure to install.
14. Reactivate airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING.
