SUBJECT: CS 144 GENERATOR SERVICE ON 1991-1992 DE VILLES, FLEETWOODS, ELDORADOS, AND SEVILLES


The CS 144 GEN II 140 Amp Delcotron Generators used on 1991 DeVilles, Fleetwoods, Eldorados, and Sevilles prior to VIN breakpoint 334630 will be serviced by remanufactured complete assemblies only. No component service parts will be available.

CS 144 GEN II Generators used on these models for the 1992 model year will be serviceable either by component replacement or reman unit. Vehicles equipped with the heated windshield option (C50) will continue to be serviced only with reman units. No component replacement is available.

Parts are currently available from GMSPO.
