Coolant Temp Sensor Circuit:

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION:
Code B449 is designed to disengage the A/C compressor clutch in the event that high side refrigerant temperature (BCM data parameter BD27) exceeds 860°C. The A/C compressor will re - engage and the code will be stored as a history code when the high side temperature falls below 780°C. If Code B449 has set, possible causes for excessive high A/C head pressure must be checked.

Possible causes for a false Code B449 are:

^ Short to ground on CKT 732.
^ Faulty High Side Temperature Sensor.
