DTC P117:

Shift Solenoid Circuit:

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION:
This diagnostic test monitors the Shift A and Shift "B" outputs from the PCM and increments a counter when the output is different than what is commanded. When the counter reaches 10, Code 117 is set. If at any time before the counter reaches 10 the output is the same as what is commanded, the counter will be reset to zero.

NOTES ON FAULT TREE:
8. Checking for a short to voltage on CKTs 582 or 1223 by looking at gear ratio at code set.
9. Checking CKT 750 and fuse "CS" for an open.
10. Checking CKTs 750 and 582 or transaxle Shift "B" solenoid for an open.
11. Checking for a short to ground. If resistance is 1000 or less, the short is inside the transaxle. If resistance is greater than 1000 the short is between "C111" and PCM.
