Front
FRONT FOG LIGHTSThe Front Fog Lights are controlled by the Body Control Module (BCM). The BCM activates the Front Fog Lights when the Ignition Switch is in RUN and the Front Fog Light Switch is pressed. Ignition RUN position is monitored at terminal 3D6 (the ignition 3 input). The Front Fog Light Switch status is monitored through the lighting data line. The BCM also turns on the Park Lights when turning on the Front Fog Lights.
The BCM activates the Front Fog Lights by energizing the Front Fog Light Relay. Battery voltage is applied at all times to the Front Fog Light Relay coil and contacts through Circuit Breaker 5 and CKT 661. The BCM energizes the relay by grounding the relay coil at terminal 3C6 (the front fog light relay output) through CKT 317. With the relay energized battery voltage is applied to the Front Fog Lamps through CKT 34.
In Norway/Sweden vehicles the Front Fog Lights are disabled when the Lo or Hi Beam Headlights have been selected by the driver. Flash-to-pass will not disable the Front Fog Lights.
