Rear

REAR FOG LIGHTS
The Rear Fog Lights are controlled by the Body Control Module (BCM). The BCM activates the Rear Fog Lights when the Rear Fog Light Switch is pressed if the Ignition Switch is in RUN and the hi beam Headlights, lo beam Headlights or Front Fog Lights are already on. Ignition RUN position is monitored at terminal 3D6 (the ignition 3 input). Front Fog Light status is monitored by the BCM through the lighting data line. Headlight status is monitored by the BCM at the headlight switch input and hi beam input. The BCM also checks headlight status by monitoring twilight sentinel.

The BCM activates the Rear Fog Lights by energizing the Rear Fog Light Relay. Battery voltage is applied at all times to the relay coil through Fuse D9 and CKT 440. The BCM energizes the relay by grounding the relay coil at terminal 3C5 (the rear fog light relay output) through CKT 317. When the relay energizes battery voltage is applied to the Rear Fog Lamps through Fuse C9, CKT 316, the relay contacts and CKT 122.
