Low Washer Fluid

Low Washer Fluid Circuit:

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION:
The BCM provides system voltage to the low washer fluid circuit, and the washer fluid level switch provides the single path to ground. The BCM supplies and internally monitors the voltage level of the circuit at pin "2B5." When the washer fluid level circuit is open the BCM will detect system voltage, but if the washer fluid level switch provides a path to ground (low washer fluid condition present), the BCM will detect low voltage. If this condition exists for at least 75 seconds, the BCM will send the "LOW WASHER FLUID" message to the CCDIC.

TEST CONDITION(S):
1. Ignition 3 voltage is present.

FAILURE CONDITION(S):
1. Low washer fluid level exists for at least 75 seconds.

ACTION TAKEN:
1. Display the "LOW WASHER FLUID" message on the CCDIC.

DIAGNOSIS:
