All Current codes except Current Code 51 (accident detected) will clear automatically when the fault causing the code is correctly diagnosed, corrected and all conditions to clear have been satisfied: Current Code 51 requires a scan tool to clear.

How To Clear History Codes

All history codes except history code 51 (accident detected) can be cleared by using the on board diagnostics or a scan tool. History code 51 cannot be cleared.
