Wiper and Washer Systems: Description and Operation

CIRCUIT OPERATION
The Headlight Washer sprays the Headlights with washer fluid to clean the Headlights. When the Headlight Washer Switch is pressed the Headlight Washer Pump receives battery voltage from Fuse C3 through the Headlight Washer Timer Relay Coil.

The output from the Headlight Washer Timer Relay allows the Washer Pump to run once for 1/2 second. This time interval is controlled by the Timer Circuit.

In order to spray the Headlights again, the Headlight Washer Switch must be pressed again.
