EXCESSIVE HEAT ON DRIVER'S RIGHT FOOT - UPPER LEFT SIDE OF VEHICLE IS COLD (REPLACE HEATER OUTLET)
MODELS:
1991-93 BUICK PARK AVENUE
1992-93 BUICK LESABRE
1991-93 CADILLAC DEVILLE
1991-93 OLDSMOBILE NINETY EIGHT
1992-93 OLDSMOBILE EIGHTY EIGHT
1992-93 PONTIAC BONNEVILLE
Condition:
Some of the models listed above may exhibit excessive heat on the driver's right foot while little heat is delivered to the upper left side of the vehicle.
Cause:
Inappropriate ducting of heated air to floor.
Correction:
An updated heater outlet will have to be installed to correct customer concerns. This duct will more evenly distribute the air flow to the left side of the vehicle.
Remove
1. RH sound insulator.
2. Heater outlet.
Install
1. Updated heater outlet, P/N 25617775.
Important:
Make sure tabs on back of duct fully seat into slots in air distributor assembly.
2. RH sound insulator.
