Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems: Service and Repair

DISABLE/ENABLE TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM
Traction control enable - PS24 may be used to temporarily disable the Traction Control System (TCS). When PS24 is selected, the display will alternate between "- -" for one second and the current state of traction control disable (99 for override active and 00 for override not active). Pressing the WARMER button will disable traction control for the next eleven cycles and display 99. The "TRACTION DISABLED" message will be displayed for the duration of this override. No TCS diagnostic trouble codes will be set. Pressing the COOLER button will allow normal program control of traction control and display 00. Testing and Inspection

The Traction Control System (TCS) can be disabled by removing fuse "A1" from the trunk compartment fuse block. A Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will be set and must be cleared before normal TCS operation can continue. Locations
