Dual Pole Arming Sensor

Use extreme caution when handling an airbag system sensor. Striking an airbag sensor could cause system deployment, resulting in personal injury and/or improper airbag system operation. All sensors and mounting bracket bolts must be properly tightened to ensure proper operation.

1. Disarm airbag as described under ``Airbag System Disarming.''
2. Remove glove compartment.
3. Remove four screws and the glove box unit from instrument panel, then remove passenger inflator module as described under ``Passenger Inflator Module.''
4. Remove two screws and one nut retaining radio chassis to bracket.
5. Disconnect electrical connectors and coax cable from radio chassis, then remove radio chassis from bracket.
6. Remove two screws retaining bracket assembly and set aside.
7. Disconnect connector position assurance (CPA) and electrical connector from sensor.
8. Loosen two bolts and remove dual pole arming sensor.
9. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Tighten mounting bolts to specifications.
b. Rearm airbag system as described under ``Airbag System Arming.''
