Resetting
RESETTING TRANSAXLE ADAPTS 4T80-E TRANSAXLEThe PCM maintains three types of transaxle adapt parameters which are used to modify transaxle line pressure under specific conditions. By modifying line pressure, the PCM maintains transaxle shift tolerance at a constant level, regardless of wear or variation of tolerance inside the transaxle. The three types of transaxle adapts are: garage shift adapt (controls Park to Drive or Reverse feel), upshift adapt (controls feel of 1/2, 2/3 and 3/4 upshifts) and steady state adapt (reduces slippage of clutches in all drive ranges).
1. Turn key On, enter diagnostics, then select PCM override PS13 (TP SENSOR LEARN).
2. Press Warmer button. CCDIC should display 09, indicating that garage shift adapt has been reset.
3. Select PCM override PS14 (TRAN ADAPT). Press cooler button. CCDIC should display 90, indicating upshift adapt value has been reset.
4. Press Warmer button. CCDIC should display 09, indicating steady state adapt value has been reset.
