Set/Coast Switch

This switch has two positions, Normal and Depressed.

Set Position
With vehicle speed above approximately 25 mph and instrument panel switch in On position, pressing and releasing set/coast button will cause the cruise speed to be set at speed vehicle was travelling at when button was released, +/- 1 mph. The system will cruise until either the instrument panel switch is moved to Off position, the ignition switch is turned off and/or the set/coast button is pushed in fully and held. Depressing the brake pedal releases the cruise, but not the resume capability.

Coast (Trim) Position
Cruise speed can be changed with the set/coast switch fully depressed. Cruise speed can be increased by accelerating to desired cruise speed, then fully depressing and releasing switch. When switch is released, a new cruise speed is set. To decrease cruise speed, fully depress and hold switch, then decelerate to desired cruise speed and release switch.

Tap Down Position
The cruise speed can be decreased in 1 mph increments by tapping the set/coast switch. With cruise control engaged and operating, quickly depress and release or tap switch. Each tap of switch will decrease cruise speed 1 mph to a maximum 10 mph decrease in cruise speed. This feature can be used to lower the cruise speed below the 25 mph minimum setting to as low as 16 mph.
