Chart 9 Rear A/C Blower Inoperative
Diagnostic Chart:
Wiring Diagram:
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
Power from fuse is applied to blower and ground is supplied through the switch. The blower speed is controlled by varying the circuit amperage using a series of three resistors contained in a module. The Air Conditioning Programmer (ACP) receives a feedback signal but has no bearing on rear blower operation.
TEST DESCRIPTION
Numbers below refer to circled numbers on the diagnostic chart.
1. This step determines if a fuse is blown due to excessive draw of the blower motor.
2. Step 2 looks for an open in the resistor module or a faulty connection.
3. This step tells us if there is an open circuit to the switch assembly.
4. This step checks the ground to the switch assembly.
