CONDITION
Some owners may experience an intermittent light surge, chuggle, or bump at steady throttle or light acceleration from 45 to 60 mph after TCC is engaged. This condition is more noticeable during high ambient humidity and temperatures. Performing Service bulletin T-93-101 (Corporate bulletin 316005) in Group 6 may reduce, but not eliminate, this condition. During diagnosis it may be determined that this condition is not present with either TCC or EGR disabled.
This condition is not present on VCC 4T80-E transaxles which are all VIN Code Y and VIN Code 9 after breakpoint E609987, K815031 of the 1995 Model Year.
CAUSE
This condition is a drive line chuggle that is affected by the engine, transaxle, and PCM calibration.
CORRECTION
The correction is still under development. Contact CAD-STAR (Canada, Divisional Technical Assistance) for further information.
