This bulletin revises the engine oil pan removal procedure found in Section 6A, page 27 of the Allante Service Manual and Section 6A2, page 27 of the Eldorado/Seville Service Manual. Please make the following change:
Under the heading "OIL PAN", the procedure should be as follows:
Remove or Disconnect:
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Drain engine oil.
3. If servicing oil pan with engine in-vehicle, remove the transaxle assembly as described in Section 7A.
4. Exhaust transition pipe as described in this section.
5. Oil pan bolts and remove pan.
6. Gasket is reusable unless damaged. Do not remove gasket from oil pan groove unless replacement is required.

1. Install new oil pan seal if required by starting seal into pan groove in both directions. Once seal is exposed to oil, it will expand and no longer stay in groove without wrinkles. If this condition exists, replace with new seal.
2. Position oil pan.
3. Thirteen oil pan bolts.
4. Exhaust transition pipe.
5. Transmission assembly as described in Section 7A if servicing oil pan in-vehicle.
6. Fill crankcase with oil.
7. Negative battery cable.
