Central Control Module (CCM)

Wiring Diagram:
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The Delayed Interior Lighting (DIL) relay will be enabled once the CCM receives a wake-up signal. CKT 1393 is then pulled to ground at the CCM. Once the relay is turned "ON," voltage will appear on CKT 823 to the various courtesy lamps and systems using CKT 823. The relay will stay powered for 10 minutes after the ignition is shut "OFF." This is a separate function from the "Retained Accessory Power (RAP)" system.
TEST CONDITIONS
When the CCM is attempting to activate the DIL relay, CCM attempts to activate DIL relay whenever it gets a wake-up signal.
FAILURE CONDITIONS
CKT 1393 (delayed interior lights enable) is in a high state for more than 2 seconds while the CCM is attempting to activate (ground) the DIL relay. This fault may also set a DTC 25 because of the illuminated entry feature.
ACTION TAKEN
DTC 22 stored and possibly with a DTC 25 depending on when the fault occurs due to the dependency of the illuminated entry function on DIL.
TEST DESCRIPTION
Number(s) below refer to circled number(s) on the diagnostic chart.
1. This test checks for a short to B+ in CKT 1393.
2. This test checks for a shorted relay coil.
3. This test checks for a shorted relay or defective CCM.
DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
If the DTC is a history code, the problem may be intermittent. Try performing the test shown while "wiggling" wiring and connectors; this can often cause the fault to appear. Refer to "Intermittents/History Codes/Poor Connections". Intermittents/History DTCs
If CKT 1393 is shorted to battery, the courtesy and roof rail, glove box, etc., lamps will not come "ON" as intended.
A Tech 1 can be used to activate the DIL relay.
