Description:

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION

If a DTC 46 is set it means that the CCM microprocessor has detected an internal short to ground inside the CCM. No repair for this fault can be performed in the field, except to replace the CCM.

TEST CONDITIONS

The CCM checks for an internal short to ground any time that the ignition is turned "ON."

FAILURE CONDITIONS

DTC 46 will set if the CCM has detected an internal CCM short to ground.

ACTION TAKEN

DTC 46 will set.

TEST DESCRIPTION

Number(s) below refer to circled number(s) on the diagnostic chart.

1. This tests has you clear DTCs and recheck for DTC 46.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS

If the DTC is a history code, the problem may be intermittent to the CCM microprocessor. Make sure CCM C1 connector terminal "B5" has no wire to it.
