Trunk Lid/Tailgate Release
CIRCUIT OPERATIONWhenever the Ignition Switch is in "RUN" or with the Retained Accessory Power energized, battery voltage from I/P Fuse 23 is applied to the Trunk Lid Release Switch. With the Switch closed, voltage is applied to the Trunk Lid Release Solenoid which is grounded at G400. When the Trunk Lid Release Solenoid is activated it will release the Trunk Lid Latch. The Trunk Lid can also be released by using the Optional "Remote Keyless Entry/Universal Theft Deterrent" (RKE/UTD) Transmitter. Pressing the Trunk Lid Release Button on the RKE/UTD Transmitter activates the Trunk Lid Release Solenoid through CKT 142, which then releases the Trunk Lid Latch. The RKE/UTD Transmitter will activate the Trunk Lid Release Solenoid when the Ignition is off or when Ignition is in "RUN" with vehicle in park only.
