SUBJECT:
HARSH 1-2 UPSHIFT (REPLACE 1-2 ACCUMULATOR VALVE SPRING)

MODELS:
1993 CADILLAC FLEETWOOD WITH 3.08 AXLE

TRANSMISSION APPLICATIONS:
1993 HYDRA-MATIC 4L60 (RPO MD8)

CONCERN:
Some vehicles may exhibit a harsh 1-2 upshift.

CORRECTION:
To improve this condition the proper TV cable adjustment procedure (as described in corporate bulletin 317102-Cadillac 93T59; GM of Canada 93-7A-135) must be performed first.

If the vehicle continues to exhibit a harsh 1-2 upshift after the TV cable adjustment procedure has been performed, a service package should be installed in the transmission. A 1-2 accumulator valve spring (which is normally not serviceable) is included in the package.
