Bulletin No.: T-93-78
File in Group: 10
Number: 288
Corp.Ref.No.: 331009
Date: April, 1993

SUBJECT:
HEAD RESTRAINT POSITION UNCOMFORTABLE (NEW HEAD RESTRAINT)

MODELS AFFECTED:
1993 FLEETWOOD BROUGHAMS (RWD) WITH RPO AM5

Some owners of 1993 Fleetwood Broughams (RWD) (before VIN 718086) with seat option RPO AM5, may comment that the head restraint with manual articulation cannot be adjusted to a comfortable position. The usual comment is that the restraint is too far forward even at the most rearward position.

This condition may be caused by the design of the head restraint posts. To repair this condition new head restraints with redesigned posts are now available. Order parts based on the information:

NOTE:
In order to maintain consistency in design appearance, both passenger and driver restraints should be replaced at the same time.

Refer to Section 10-10 of the 1993 Cadillac Fleetwood (RWD) Service Information Manual for replacement procedures.

Parts are currently available from GMSPO.
