Electrochromic Mirror Face Replacement
Removal:

1. Remove mirror and plastic backing plate by pulling the assembly out of the mirror housing.

2. Disconnect electrical connectors.

3. Remove the actuator shafts snapped into the mirror head backing.

Installation:

Important: Ensure springs on actuator shafts are not pushed down on the shafts but are seated in the groove provided.

1. Snap actuator shafts into the power drive unit.

2. Reconnect electrical connectors.

3. Rotate actuator shafts to align ears with corresponding slots in the back side of the mirror face.

4. Align the swivel on the power drive unit to the pivot points on the mirror backing plate.

Note: To avoid damaging electrochromic mirrors, yellowing and/or silver delamination, pressure MUST NOT be applied to the center of the mirror. Place a 2 x 3 inch block of wood in the indicated target area. This will distribute pressure evenly.

5. Using the block:

a. Push in on block until a "snap" is heard.

b. tilt mirror toward upper actuator shaft and apply pressure on block until ratchet sound stops.

c. tilt mirror toward outside actuator shaft and apply pressure on block until ratchet sound stops.

6. Cycle mirror for proper operation. If not operating properly, recheck actuator shaft alignments.
