Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Pump
BLEEDING BPM VALVE PUMPBPM Valve Bleed Screw:
CAUTION: Failure to properly bleed the prime pipe followed by activation of the Brake Pulse Modulator Valve (BPM) valve pump or Traction Control function can result In air entrapment within the pump and traction control function impairment.
- If the Brake Pulse Modulator Valve (BPM) valve is known or suspected to contain air, then it must be bled in the following manner:
1. Connect TECH 1 diagnostic tool.
2. Prepare vehicle to bleed brake hydraulic system - See procedure (manual or pressure) in this section.
3. Select "TCS Test" under "Misc. Test" on TECH 1 tool to activate the BPM valve pump.
4. Bleed at front caliper only - left or right, followed by the other.
