SUBJECT:

MODELS:

This bulletin is being revised to delete the Cadillac DeVille from inclusion in the 1993 model year. This bulletin applies to the DeVille for the 1994 model year only. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 431212 (Group Reference - HVAC).

This bulletin is to provide supplemental Service Manual information that will help the technician utilize the "SET TEMPERATURE OFFSET" capabilities on the above listed vehicles.
To customize the performance of the HVAC for an owner, the HVAC system can be commanded up to 5°F (3°C) warmer or up to 5°F (3°C) cooler.

To perform "SET TEMPERATURE OFFSET", enter diagnostics and display IPC Override Output IS10. Press "COOLER" button if the owner concern is that the vehicle is too warm, or press the "WARMER" button if the owner concern is that the vehicle is too cold. To store the "NEW" temperature in memory, hold the "ECON" and "WINDSHIELD DEFROSTER" buttons for 3 seconds.
