Engine Cranks, But Will Not Run

DEFINITION:
Engine cranks normally but does not start and run.


Check Powertrain System, if not already completed

Check Fuel System, looking in particular for:

- Fuel Quality:
- Alcohol Content
- Contaminants
- Water Content

- No Fuel Pressure:
- Plugged fuel lines or fuel filter

- Fuel Injectors:
- Not Operating
- Low Flow Rate


Check Ignition System, looking in particular for:

- Faulty Coil Pack or IC Module
- Poor Terminal Contact at IC Module

Check for the following mechanical causes:

- No Compression
- Severely Restricted Air Induction Flow
