CONDITION:

Some owners may comment on a fuel pump whine or noise. This noise will vary with accessory load (e.g. power window switch position).

CORRECTION:

Install a new modular fuel sender assembly kit, P/N 25029982, following procedures in the appropriate Service Manual.

IMPORTANT:

- When installing the new fuel sender assembly on these affected models, it is necessary to remove the siphoning (drain) hose as it is no longer used. The siphon (drain) hose was eliminated during the 1994 model year and the replacement fuel sender assembly drain port is sealed.

- Be sure to replace the fuel sender seal when replacing the fuel sender assembly.
