Starter Motor: Application and ID
Early production vehicles were produced with a PG-250 starter motor, and later models were produced with a PG-260 starter motor. The PG-260 can be identified by the 3 torx bolts that retain the solenoid to the drive end housing. The PG-250 solenoid does not have these bolts, and is not removable from the drive end housing. The PG-260 starter is serviced by replacement, and unit repair is not recommended.
