Cruise Control/Shift Interlock - Inoperative

CRUISE CONTROL OR BRAKE/TRANSMISSION SHIFT INTERLOCK (BTSI) INOPERATIVE (REPLACE LOWER STOPLAMP SWITCH)

MODELS:
1994 CADILLAC CONCOURS, DEVILLE, ELDORADO AND SEVILLE WITHIN THE FOLLOWING VIN BREAKPOINTS:
DEVILLE AND CONCOURS - SOP TO 207557
ELDORADO - SOP TO 605732
SEVILLE - SOP TO 814612

Condition:
Some owners may experience an inoperative cruise control or brake/transmission shift interlock (BTSI).

Cause:
The cause may be due to a misadjustment of the stoplamp switch assembly.

Correction:
To repair this condition, replace the lower switch in the stoplamp switch assembly with P/N 12450005. Follow the replacement and adjustment procedures in Section 5 of the applicable Service Manual.
