SYSTEM DIAGNOSISTrouble Codes Present
When any condition is suspected to be caused by or related to the ignition control system, the first step in diagnosis should be to check for stored PCM trouble codes. Refer to Computers and Control Systems / System Diagnosis / Procedures / Vehicle On-Board Diagnostics. Diagnose all trouble codes before further action is taken. Testing and Inspection
Trouble Codes Not Present
If no trouble codes are stored and the condition is still present, refer to Chart 1 Ignition System Check in Computers and Control Systems / System Diagnosis / Procedures. This chart will refer to other ignition related charts. Testing and Inspection
