Timing Chain and Sprocket

Fig. 8 Camshaft Timing Marks:

1. Remove front cover as outlined under Timing Cover/Service and Repair.
2. Remove oil slinger from crankshaft.
3. Rotate crankshaft to align camshaft and crankshaft sprocket timing marks, Fig. 8.
4. Remove screw attaching camshaft sprocket to camshaft, then the camshaft and crankshaft sprockets with timing chain attached.
5. Reverse procedure to install. Ensure timing marks are aligned, Fig. 8.
