PCM STATUS LIGHTS
As soon as "PCM?" is selected, the Climate Control Panel (CCP) begins display of Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Status Lights. PCM Status Light will continue to be displayed until PCM diagnostic functions are exited. PCM Status Lights show the current state of certain discrete PCM inputs and outs by turning "ON" and "OFF certain indicator on the CCP.

Front Oxygen Sensor (O2S) Input
The status of the front oxygen sensor is indicated by the "DEFOG" symbol on the CCP. The front O2S is signaling a rich condition (above 0.45 volt) to the PCM when the "DEFOG" symbol is "ON." The front O2S is signaling a lean condition (below 0.45 volt) to the PCM when the "DEFOG" symbol is "OFF."

Rear Oxygen Sensor (O2S) Input
The status of the rear oxygen sensor is indicated by the "ECON" symbol on the CCP. The rear O2S is signaling a rich condition (above 0.45 volt) to the PCM when the "ECON" symbol is "ON." The rear O2S is signaling a lean condition (below 0.45 volt) to the PCM when the "ECON" symbol is "OFF."

PCM Operating Mode
The PCM operating mode is indicated by the "AUTO" symbol on the CCP. The PCM is in closed loop when the "AUTO" symbol is "ON." The PCM is in open loop when the "AUTO" symbol is "OFF."

A/C Clutch Command
The A/C compressor clutch command is indicated by the "FRONT DEFROST" symbol on the CCP. The A/C clutch is commanded "ON" when the "FRONT DEFROST" symbol is "ON." The A/C clutch is commanded "OFF" when the "FRONT DEFROST" symbol is "OFF."

Transaxle Gear Status
The gear status of the transaxle is indicated by the degree symbol (°C, °F, °E) on the CCP. The transaxle is indicating 3rd gear when the "°C" symbol is "ON." The transaxle is indicating both 3rd and 4th gear when the "°F" symbol is "ON." The transaxle is indicating 4th gear only when the "°E" symbol is "ON." the transaxle is indicating neither 3rd nor 4th gear when no degree symbol is lit.

TCC Output
The TCC output is indicated by the "REAR DEFROST" symbol on the CCP. TCC is enabled when the "REAR DEFROST" symbol is "ON." TCC is disabled when the "REAR DEFROST" symbol is "OFF."

Throttle Position Switch
The Throttle Position Switch status is indicated by the "LO" fan symbol on the CCP. The throttle position switch is closed when the "LO" fan symbol is "ON." The throttle position switch is open when the "LO" fan symbol is "OFF."

Park/Neutral Switch
The status of the Park/Neutral switch contacts of the Transaxle Range Switch is indicated by the "AUTO" fan symbol on the CCP. The Park/Neutral switch contacts are closed when the "AUTO" fan symbol is "ON." The Park/Neutral switch contacts are open when the "AUTO" fan symbol is "OFF."
