Windows: Adjustments

DOOR WINDOW ADJUSTMENT

Door window adjustment should be done if the following conditions exist:
^ if any beveled edge of the window is visible with the window in the full up position, the window should be adjusted Up/down at the inner panel cam.
^ if the window does not fit the window frame or if Up/Down adjustments were made, the window should be adjusted Fore/AFT at the window sash.
^ if the window rattles in the full down position or if any other window adjustments were made, the lower run channels should be adjusted Fore/Aft.

Though reasons for window adjustment may vary, the adjustment procedure should always be completed in the following sequence:
1. Remove door trim panel.
2. Remove water deflector.
3. Lower window slightly. This will relieve excess pressure on inner panel cam.
4. Loosen bolts retaining inner panel cam. The front door has two bolts and the rear door has three.
5. Adjust window cam Up/Down as necessary.
6. Tighten inner panel cam bolts.
