LOCK HOUSING COVER, COVER END CAP, PIVOT & SWITCH, DIMMER SWITCH ROD ACTUATOR & TILT SPRING


DISASSEMBLE
1. Disassemble coil, shaft lock, turn signal cancel cam, upper bearing spring and seat, inner race turn signal switch, buzzer switch and lock cylinder set.
2. Remove lock housing cover attaching screws and the cover, then the tilt lever.
3. Remove cover housing end cap, base plate, and dimmer switch rod actuator, then gently pull pivot switch wiring harness through column housing and gear shift lever bowl.
4. On models with cruise control, unplug connector from base plate and remove multi-function lever.
5. On all models, remove pivot pin, then the pivot and switch assembly.
6. Remove spring retainer, then the spring and spring guide.

ASSEMBLE
Ensure all fasteners are securely seated before applying required torque.

1. Coat spring guide and spring with lithium grease and install them, then install spring retainer.
2. Install pivot and pulse switch assembly, then the pivot pin.
3. Route lock housing cover wire harness through gear shift lever bowl and column housing.
4. Install dimmer switch rod actuator to base plate, then the base plate to gear shift lever bowl, ensuring bottom edge of dimmer switch rod actuator rests on bend in dimmer switch rod.
5. Install cover housing end cap.
6. On models with cruise control, plug multi-function lever connector and cruise control wires on wipe/wash switch together and mount on base plate and install multi-function lever.
7. On all models, install lock housing cover. Tighten screw in 12 o'clock position first, screw in 8 o'clock position second and screw in 4 o'clock position third, then torque screws to 89 lb in in same order.
8. Assemble coil, shaft lock, turn signal cancel cam, upper bearing spring and seat, inner race turn signal switch, buzzer switch and lock cylinder set.
