Deck Lid/Hatch Release
TRY THE FOLLOWING CHECKS BEFORE DOING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS1. Check that the Valet Switch is "ON" and the Gear Selector Lever is in PARK".
2. Check Trunk Compartment Fuse Block Fuse "All", Engine Compartment Fuse Block Fuse "A3", and RH Maxi Fuse Block Circuit Breaker 1, if the RH Max Fuse Block Circuit Breaker 1 is open check RED (742) for a short to ground.
3. Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems.
4. Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove "GOOD" in a continuity/voltage check with a system disconnected. (Refer to Diagnostic Aids for General Troubleshooting Procedures) Diagnostic Aids
5. Visually inspect Trunk Lid Release Solenoid connector and associated wiring.
