Lumbar Supports
UP-DOWN OPERATIONWhen a Lumbar Switch is placed in the UP position, voltage from Fuse C5 is applied to the Up/Down Lumbar Relay up relay coil, which energizes the up half of the relay. The relay energizing causes the up contacts to close connecting relay terminals C (CKT 742) and B (CKT 768/793) together. Voltage from Circuit Breaker 3 is now applied to the Up/Down Lumbar Motor. Because the motor is grounded through CKT 767/792, the down relay contacts and CKT 850 to ground G302 the Up/Down Lumbar Motor now begins to run. moving the lumbar support up the seat back.
The lumbar support can be moved down the seat back by depressing the down switch. The circuit operation for the down mode is similar to the up mode, except the Up/Down Lumbar Motor's polarity is reversed, causing the motor to run in the opposite direction.
When down operation is desired battery voltage from Fuse C5 is applied to the down relay coil in the Up/Down Lumbar Relay. The relay energizes, applying voltage from Circuit Breaker 3 to the Up/Down Lumbar Motor through CKT 767/792. The motor is grounded this time through CKT 768/793, the up relay contacts and CKT 850 to ground G302.
FORE AND AFT OPERATION
Fore and Aft operation is similar to the Up-Down operation, except the motor moves the lumbar support in and out of the seat back.
