Chart 6 Rear A/C Blower Speed Incorrect
Diagnostic Chart:
Wiring Diagram:
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
Power from fuse is applied to blower and ground is supplied through the switch. The blower speed is controlled by varying the circuit amperage using a series of three resistors contained in a module. The Air Conditioning Programmer (ACP) receives a feedback signal but has no bearing on rear blower operation.
TEST DESCRIPTION
Numbers below refer to circled numbers on the diagnostic chart. Some models need to have the engine running.
1. This step checks for poor ground or poor feed circuit.
2. This step determines if resistor module is faulty.
3. This step defines a faulty circuit or faulty switch assembly.
NOTES ON INTERMITTENT CONNECTION
If an intermittent DTC is being set, select ACP Snapshot Data for DTC and note value of ACP data parameter. Manipulate the related wiring while observing ACP data parameter. If a failure is induced, the displayed data parameter value will be outside the sensors normal operating range.
