Condition

Some owners may comment on the front seats moving or making a clicking noise when the occupant shifts weight. This condition could also occur on acceleration or deceleration of the vehicle.

Cause

The seat frame mechanism requires the front lift brackets to move at the riveted joint causing noise due to excessive clearance.

Correction

Replace the seat frame with one equipped with a fine blanked lift bracket. Refer to Section 10-10 of the Service Manual.
